Are you missing WMP on Windows 10? Have you already tried to go through Microsoft’s new way to add WMP to Windows 10 (example: https://pureinfotech.com/install-windows-media-player-windows-10/) and still WMP is not there, even though the setting app says it is there? This route never worked for me on my Windows 10 pro installation 🙁
Here is how to resolve that problem! : Use the old control panel
In Windows 10, WMP installation using the settings > optional features never worked. However, when I tried going through this route, it worked! :
Control panel (old style) >
Turn windows features on / off >
Turn windows feartures on / off (yes, once again, on the left side menu) >
expand “media features” >
check Windows Media Player checkbox >
When we publish new RemoteApp programs OR we disable a RemoteApp program on one of the many servers in our RDSH farm, the RemoteApp program disappears from RD Web.
There is a hotfix available for that here:
After I installed it on my Windows Server 2008 R2 server running the RD Web role, it started working fine. It needs a reboot, though.
ok today I am going to try to install SCCM 2012 again! Yup….this time is going to be my fourth attempt after three unscuccessful installation attempts.
This time I am going to use a remote SQL server which is running on a 64bit OS. In my last attempt, I determined that the remote SQL server needs to be running on a 64bit OS. Note that I have already updated the SQL server as per the minimum requirements of SCCM 2012. Here it goes…
