We still use the laptop. it works fine as a web browsing machine.<\/p>\n<p>I also want to use it for navigating in my motor home. I think having a mechanical drive in a laptop being used in a moving vehicle may kill the HDD prematurely. Hence the SSD idea.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>However the laptop has only a SATA 1 interface. Read s-l-o-w. Maybe it is not worth spending $100 on a SSD for this laptop.
