    Bad luck with Impatiens

    Looks like it is going to be last last year again. 🙁 Well it has been 20 days since I planted a batch of seeds. It has the bottom heater, lights, dome, everything they need……….still out of the the 72 “coins” nothing has sprouted….not even one! I guess I should check the temperature with a thermometer. I bet they are too warm. check out an update which I posted later

    Planted more seeds today

    Planted these annuals today: Marigold Shasta Daisy [10-20 days] Snapdragon [7-30 days] Petunia Horizon Yellow [7-21 days] Petunia Dolcissima Fragolino [7-21 days] Petunia Wave Hybrid [7-21 days] These were planted peat ‘coins’ and with a heater mat under them. The whole thing is a Jiffy greenhouse pro.

    Awning lock?

    So I was reading some horror stories about people’s awnings blowing away while moving. Seems like the brakes/locks on the awning fail to prevent the awning from unfurling while you are driving/ towing your RV. Scary?     Cleaning RV shades

    So when we bought our motorhome it was already 10 years old. The window shades are pretty dirty. We looked at the replacement costs and found out that custom made shades would cost us over 500 bucks! It has 5 windows. The shades themselves are in OK shape. There had to be a way to clean them.
